  • Pressure cook the dal add salt, turmeric powder, potato, pumpkin, green chillies & 1½ cup of water till 3-4 whistle.
  • When pressure is reduced open the cooker and stir the dal continuously so that it gets mixed properly.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida & dried red chili then add onion, sambhar masala saute for 2-3 minute
  • Add dal if needed add water then adds tamarind pulp.
  • Cook at low heat for 3-4 minutes and serve it with idli, dosa, or plain rice.
