Helpful Tips

  • To make clean slices of cold deserts, soak knife in warm water for a few minutes, wipe it dry & make a clean slices.
  • To increase the taste of batata vadas, add crushed garlic in gram flour (Besan) batter.
  • When cooking vegetables please add salt at the end.
  • To make vermicelli more delightful, add 1 tea spoon of custard powder.
  • To avoid darkness on cut apples/pear, squeeze a little lime juice or sprinkle a little bit of crushed mustard.
  • To prevents the dough from getting dry in refrigerator coat it with light layer of oil.
  • Always use room temperature while baking butter & eggs. Using them directly from refrigerator will make it harder to blend & mix it and that will affect the product.
  • To prepare fluffier omellete, beat egg's white & egg's yolk separately.
  • To release more juice of lemon, roll it hard on kitchen platform or counter using palm.

  • While frying onion to get brown color fast add half tea spoon of salt.
  • If the dough sticks to rolling pin , put the dough in the refrigerator for few minutes.
  • While preparing makke ki rotis add some wheat flour to makka flour then knead the dough it will not break the rotis.
  • To avoid discolored of aamras & mango desserts keep them in a non metal container.
  • While making rotis or paranthas from wheat flour add a little rice flour to the dough.
  • Soak pulses for one hour before cooking.
  • Always use garlic at 60% ratio & ginger at 40% while using ginger- garlic paste.
  • Soaked poppy seeds in hot water for 10- 15 min before grinding.
  • Add a little water at the base of the utensil while boiling milk to avoid it from sticking at the bottom.
