Ingredients:

  • Chana Dal (Split Bengal Dal)Cooked
    2 Cups
  • Seedless Dates Roughly Chopped
    10- 12
  • Sugar
    4 Table Spoon
  • Green Cardamon Powder
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Cloves
    3-4
  • Mixed Dry Fruits Chopped
    2 Table Spoon
  • Ghee
    3 Table Spoon

Method:

  • Take grinder jar add cooked chana dal grind it lightly.
  • Heat Ghee in a pan add cloves saute for while & add grind chana dal.
  • Saute till aroma comes & add chopped dates mix it well.
  • Now add sugar cook till it dissolved completely.
  • At the same time heat another pan add 1 tea spoon of ghee add chopped dry fruits saute for 1/2- 1 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add this fried dry fruits to the halwa & sprinkle green cardamon powder to it, mix it.
  • Remove from heat, transfer it into serving dish garnishing with dry fruits.
  • Serve it.

Sakarkand Ka Halwa

Ingredients:

  • Sakarkand (Sweet Potatoes)
    5 Medium Sized
  • Ghee
    1 Table Spoon
  • Sugar
    4 Table Spoons
  • Cloves
    2-3 Pieces
  • Green Cardamom Powder
    1/4 Tea Spoon
  • Fresh Grated Coconut
    1 Table Spoon
  • Raisins
    8-9 Pieces
  • Almonds
    7-8 Chopped

Method:

  • Wash & clean sakarkand.
  • Pressure cook for 3-4 whistle and then wait for its cooling.
  • After sakarkand is cooled then peel it & mashed it properly.
  • Now take ghee and heat it in a pan.
  • Add cloves in the pan and wait till it gets crackled. Now add mashed sakarkand on it and saute it on a low flame.
  • Add sugar, green cardamom powder, raisins & almonds on it and mix it very well.
  • Now Sakarkand halwa is ready to serve. Garnish it with fresh coconut & serve it.

  • Chukandar (Beetroot)
    5-6 Medium Boiled, Peeled & Grated
  • Green Cardamom Powder
    1/4 Tea Spoon
  • Mawa/Khoya
    1/2 Cup
  • Ghee
    2 Table Spoons
  • Almond
    3-4 Seeds Chopped
  • Raisins
    6 Pieces
  • Melon Seeds (Magaz)
    2 Table Spoons Dried
  • Sugar
    3 Table Spoons

Method:

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add magaz & Chukandar saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add cardamom powder, almonds, raisins and mix it gently.
  • Now add mawa & saute for 3-4 minutes then add sugar. Now cook it till sugar dissolved properly.
  • Chukandar halwa is ready to serve. Enjoy !!

  • Red Pumpkin (Kaddu) Peeled & Grated:
    500 Grams
  • Ghee
    3 Table Spoon
  • Almonds Chopped
    7-8 Pieces
  • Cashew Nuts Chopped
    5 Pieces
  • Green Cardamom Powder
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Sugar
    2 Table Spoon

Method:

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add red pumpkin to it & saute for 10 minutes.
  • Add sugar mix it properly wait till pumpkin gets cooked.
  • Reduce the flame add green cardamom powder, almonds & cashewnuts mix it well.
  • Remove from heat serve it.

  • Suji
    1.5 Cups
  • Sugar
    4 Table Spoon
  • Green Cardamom (Elachi)
    3-4 Crushed
  • Raisins (Khismish)
    10 Pieces
  • Cashew Nuts
    8-10 Pieces
  • Almonds
    5-6 Pieces
  • Fennel Seeds (Sauf)
    1/4 Tea Spoon
  • Ghee
    3 Table Spoon
  • Water
    2 Cups
  • Grated Dry Coconuts
    1 Table Spoon

Method:

  • Sieve suji.
  • Heat ghee in a khadai.
  • Add suji to it roast till it color change to light brown.
  • Add crushed green cardamom, raisins, almonds, fennel seeds, cashew nuts.
  • Add sugar & water stir continuously reduce heat to low.
  • when water get absorbed that means our halwa is ready.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Take it to serving dish & garnished with grated coconut.

Lauki-Ka-Hakwa

  • Bottle Gourd (Lauki)
    1 Large Peeled & Grated
  • Sugar
    3/4 Cup
  • Green Cardamom Powder
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Dried Fruits (Mixed)
    1/4 Cup
  • Milk
    1 Litre

Method:

  • Heat milk in pan bring it to boil.
  • Add grated lauki to it cook till the milk is well absorbed.
  • Add green cardamom powder,sugar, stirring continuously till sugar get dissolved.
  • Mix well, remove from heat.
  • Garnished with Mixed dry fruits.
  • Serve hot & cold.
  • Note: Always buy soft & medium sized lauki.
