Ingredients:

  • Sabut Urad (Whole Black Gram)
    1/2 Cup
  • Red Kidney Beans (Rajma)
    2 Table Spoons
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste
    1.5 Table Spoons
  • Tomatoes Chopped
    4-5 Medium
  • Onion Chopped
    1 Large
  • Red Chiili Powder
    1 Tea Spoon
  • Garam Masala Powder
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Cumin Seeds
    1 Tea Spoon
  • Oil
    1 Table Spoon
  • Butter
    2 Table Spoons
  • Cream
    1/2 Cup
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
    2 Table Spoon
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Soak sabut urad & rajma overnight.
  • Now drain the water & pressure cook sabut urad & rajma in 3 cups of water with salt for 8-9 whistle or till it get done.
  • Heat oil & butter in a kadai & add cumin seeds when it starts to crackle add onion & saute till it color changes to golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste & red chilli powder, cooked till tomatoes is mashed well.
  • Now add cooked dal to it & add 2-3 cups of water to maintain it seasoning.
  • Cook it in low flame for 10 to 15 minutes & add garam masala powder, reserve 2 table spoon of cream & rest add to the dal cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with coriander leaves & reserved cream.
  • Serve it with naan, steamed rice & parantha.

  • Saboot Masoor(Lentil)
    1 Cup
  • Onion
    1 Large & Chopped
  • Tomatoes
    2 Large Chopped
  • Ginger Paste
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Garlic Paste
    1 Tea Spoon
  • Cumin Seeds
    1 Tea Spoon
  • Green Chilies
    2 Pcs
  • Ghee
    2 Table Spoon
  • Fresh Green Coriander
    1 Table Spoon
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Clean & wash masoor.
  • Add masoor & 5 cups of water to pressure cooker.
  • Pressure cook for 10-12 minutes on low flame.
  • After 2 whistle off the flame & keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a karahi.
  • Add cumin seeds wait till crackled then add onion.
  • Fry for 3-4 minutes till they changes to brown.
  • Now add tomatoes saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add cooked masoor & salt.
  • Keep on low flame cooked for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped coriander.

  • Arhar Dal (Split Pigeon Pea)
    1 Cup
  • Garlic
    5-7 Cloves Chopped
  • Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Ghee
    3-4 table spoon
  • Cumin Seeds
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Mustard Seeds
    1/4 Tea Spoon
  • Curry Leaves
    6-7 Pieces
  • Green Chillies
    2 Pieces
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Take dal clean and wash it.
  • Pressure cook dal with haldi & salt.
  • Add garlic & 3 cups of water.
  • Wait for whistle of pressure cooker.
  • After 2 whistle keep on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in pan add cumin seeds wait till crackled.
  • Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies saute for 2 minutes.
  • Pour the dal into it.
  • Mix well till boil comes.
  • Serve it with plain rice.

  • Dry Red Chillies
    2 Broken into bits
  • Onion
    1 Large Finely Chopped
  • Ginger
    1/2 Inch Piece Finely Chopped
  • Garlic
    7-8 Cloves Finely Chopped
  • Fresh Green Coriander Leaves
    1 Table Spoon
  • Tomato
    3 Medium Finely Chopped
  • Lemon Juice
    1 Table Spoon
  • Hing
    A Pinch
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Clean & wash all the dals.
  • Pressure cook all dals with 4 cups of water.
  • Add garlic, ginger & salt to it.
  • After the 3 whistle remove from heat keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add jeera & dry red chillies cook till crackle.
  • Add hing & onion fry till golden.
  • Add tomatoes saute for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add boil dal to it, keep heat at low for 3-4 minutes
  • Remove heat take it to serving dish serve it with coriander leaves & lemon juice.

  • Chana Dal (Split Bengal Gram)
    1/2 Cup
  • Fresh Palak (Spinach)
    500 Grams Finely Chopped
  • Green Chillies
    2-3 Finely Chopped
  • Cumin Seeds
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Onion
    1 Chopped
  • Oil
    3 Table Spoon
  • Tomato
    2 Chopped
  • Coriander (Dhania) Powder
    3-4 Pinch
  • Ginger
    1/2 Inch Piece Chopped
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
    6-7 leaves
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Soak dal for half an hour.
  • Wash palak leaves properly & keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add cumin seeds fry for 1 second.
  • Add onion saute till golden brown,add tomatoes,ginger & coriander powder.
  • Cook for 1 minute.
  • Strain the soaked dal.
  • Add dal, palak & salt into pressure cooker.
  • Add 2 cups of water & pressure cook to give 3 whistles.
  • When pressure comes cool.
  • Mash the dal slightly.
  • Serve it garnish with coriander leaves.

    1/4 Cup
  • Fresh Green Coriander Leaves
    2 Table Spoon
  • Cumin Seeds
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Dry Red Chilli
    1 Broken
  • Ghee
    3 Table Spoon
  • Curry Leaves
    6-7 Pieces
  • Tomato
    1 Large Finely Chopped
  • Onion
    1 Medium Finely Chopped
  • Salt
    To Taste

Method:

  • Clean & wash dal.
  • Add haldi powder, salt & 4 cup of water.
  • Pressure cook to give 3 whistle.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Heat a kadhai, add cumin seeds when it turns golden.
  • Add curry leaves broken red chilli saute till crackle.
  • Add onion fry till golden, add tomato cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add coconut saute for 1 minutes.
  • Add boiled dal to it cook till boil comes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.

  • Turmeric Powder

  • Carrot
    1 Piece
  • French Beans
    5 Piece
  • Cloves(Laung)
    2-3 Piece
  • Oil
    2 Table Spoon
  • Cumin Seeds
    1/2 Tea Spoon
  • Coriander(Dhania) Powder
    1 Tea Spoon
  • Garlic
    5-6 Cloves Crushed
  • Red Chilli Powder
    1/4 Table Spoon
  • Lemon Juice
    2 Table Spoon
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
    6-7 Leaves

Method:

  • Add onion & garlic saute till light brown.
  • Now add all the vegetables & saute for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add coriander powder, red chilli powder & salt to it.
  • Cook for 2 minutes add 3 cup of water & cover the cooker wait for 1 whistle.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve & garnished with coriander leaves & lemon juice.
